Sweepstake generator

Add your crew, pick the event, we draw the teams. No spreadsheet, no arguments.

How to run a sweepstake

A sweepstake is the simplest group game there is: every entrant in an event - each team, each horse - gets randomly drawn to a person. When the event runs, you win if your entrant wins. No skill, no picks, just the luck of the draw and a whole lot of shouting.

  1. List the entrants. Pick a preset above or paste your own list - one per line.
  2. Add your group. Type everyone's name, one per line.
  3. Draw. The tool deals every entrant out evenly and at random.
  4. Share it. Copy the results into the group chat - or make it a live pool so it scores itself.

Want stakes? Keep it friendly - the point is bragging rights, not a buy-in. A free sweepstake that the whole group joins beats a complicated one nobody finishes.

Sweepstakes for every event

One tool, every big draw of the year.

World Cup sweepstake

The classic. Draw all 32 (or 48) nations across your group and ride your teams through the groups and into the knockouts. The office goes quiet every time a drawn country kicks off.

Euros sweepstake

Same energy, 24 teams. Perfect for a summer of football - everyone gets a couple of nations and suddenly cares deeply about a 0-0 group game.

Grand National sweepstake

The biggest draw of the year. Pull the runners out, assign them to the office, and watch everyone discover they're a horse-racing expert for one afternoon.

Super Bowl & NFL sweepstake

Draw the playoff field or all 32 teams. Great for a season-long office pool or a one-night Super Bowl draw with the group.

FAQ

How does a sweepstake draw work?+

Everyone in your group is randomly assigned one or more entrants - teams, horses, or whatever the event is. You add the entrants and the names, hit draw, and the tool deals them out evenly and at random. Whoever's entrant wins the event wins the sweepstake.

Is the draw actually random and fair?+

Yes. The draw uses a Fisher-Yates shuffle, so every entrant has an equal chance of landing with any person. Entrants are dealt round-robin so the field is spread as evenly as possible - if there are leftovers, they're handed out one at a time, never dumped on one person.

How many people can I run it for?+

As many as you like. The draw handles any group size and any number of entrants, spreading them evenly. With 32 teams and 8 people, everyone gets four; with 20 people, twelve get one and eight get two.

Can I use my own list of entrants?+

Absolutely. Pick 'Custom list' and paste anything - your fantasy league, a list of horses, raffle prizes, draft order, whatever. The presets are just editable starting points; you can change any of them.

Can I run a sweepstake for the office?+

Yes - it's one of the easiest ways to get a workplace buzzing around a big event. Draw the teams, drop the results in Slack or Teams, and let the trash talk start. For a recurring engagement ritual, see Trofeo.live for HR.

Is it free?+

Completely. The sweepstake generator is free with no login. If you want a live leaderboard and auto-graded results instead of a one-off draw, you can turn it into a free Trofeo.live pool.
